HIGH OCTANE OFFENSES CLASH IN MOJO VICTORY...
Permian overcame Cooper’s second-quarter burst to run away for a 63-34 victory at Ratliff Stadium.  The Panthers scored on its first four possessions to take leads of 21-0 and 28-7 before Cooper got back into the game.  The Cougars cut it to 28-14 on Zach Stewart’s 12-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Squyres.  Cooper then recovered an onside kick and Jo Jo Jones went 51 yards on the next play.  On the next series, Stewart hit Hunter Dunn for a TD to knot the score at 28 at the half.  Permian regained control and erupted in the third quarter as Tate Smith threw for two scores and linebacker Irving Escobedo returned a fumble 67 yards for a TD.  Melvis Pride and Lavorick Williams gave Permian a 63-28 advantage.  Cooper could only manage six points in the second half due to the halftime adjustments by the Panther staff.  Smith finished 16-of-24 for 265 yards. His last four attempts all went for touchdowns.  Williams had six catches for 100 yards and three scores for Mojo.  Stewart finished 34-of-54 for 342 yards and three TDs for Cooper.  Jo Jo Jones added 113 yards and two touchdowns on 12 rushing attempts.

DAWGS BITE BRONCHOS IN LATE 35-28 RALLY...
With three minutes left in the game, T.J. London ran back an Odessa High punt 56 yards for a touchdown to give Midland High a come-from-behind 35-28 win.  Less than a minute after Bulldog quarterback John Burns carried it in from five yards out for the game's first score, David Camacho kept it on an option and ran 76 yards to tie it 7-7. The Bulldogs took a 14-7 lead in the second quarter when Burns connected with Nathan Petraitis from seven yards out. On the ensuing possession, Camacho hit Byron Monahan on a 71-yard deep out pattern, which tied it 14-14.  Camacho then hit Monahan for a second touchdown, this one from 30 yards to send the Bulldogs to the locker room with a 21-14 deficit.  Camacho hit Daniel Rivas for a 38-yard touchdown in the third quarter to extend the OHS lead to 14.  Midland rebounded on two TD passes from Burns - the first a 43-yarder to
Sebastian DeLaRosa and then a 26-yarder to Petraitis to tie the game at 28.  London would clinch it for the Bulldogs with the winning punt return.

EAGLES FLY OVER REBELS, 29-17...
Midland Lee got on the board first on a Price Williams 26-yard field goal to take the early lead.  Abilene High answered with a Brandon Williams 45-yard run to the 2-yard line and plunge two plays later for a 7-3 Eagle lead.  J.J. James got open in the end zone on the next series to stretch the lead to 14-3.   Corey Petro would bring the Rebels to within four at the half on a short TD run.  The Eagles held a double-digit lead thanks to a fumble recovery by Kortney McDow in the end zone and Brandon Williams’ 35-yard touchdown run midway through the fourth. The Rebels scored on a 9-yard run by Petro with 5:21 left in the game.  The Abilene defense allowed only 54 yards in the second half to win 29-17 for its third straight victory.
